Solar Design Competition 2012
The Catholic University of America will sponsor a student competition to design a “solar powered Mini Bus Station” capable of storing and supplying power generated by solar panels, while providing protection from the elements for people waiting for the CUA shuttle. Solar powered mini bus stations will be a part of CUA’s ongoing commitment to provide convenient and reliable shuttle service to the University community.
Undergraduate or graduate students who are registered for classes (full time or part time) for Spring 2012 and who are in good standing are eligible to participate. Students must work in teams. The competition will begin on February 23, 2012. A meeting to discuss more detailed design parameters will be held February 22, 2012 in Great Room B of the Pryzbyla Center beginning at 6 PM.

The final judging, selection of the winning design, and distribution of the prize will occur on Odyssey Day, Friday, April 13.
